Red Carpet Car Wash

#Latepost After a long, super hot days for a few weeks, I came here early before it's too hot again for a car wash. I'm glad to see not so much crowd due to my early visitation. Normally, this place is packed! Not long after I got here, a lot more people came to have their cars washed as well. The service is good... a little bit more pricey, though comparing to another hand car wash in the valley, but i like their results, so i don't mind. They were doing good jobs handling my car!

This is the only car wash in the valley that I trust. It's a clean, well streamlined car wash on a very busy intersection of the west SF Valley. It's often a challenge to get in to unless you've been here many times. There's a gas only section on the west side of the car wash and you cannot get immediately access the car wash from that side. Best way in is to travel north or south on Topanga and turn east on Vanowen and take a right into the car wash. Pull up to the pumps and someone will come out and pump your gas for you! I often choose the well-priced Exterior Only because my interior doesn't get as dirty. I've also had my truck detailed here a couple of times in the past 20 years and they do a very nice job. No matter which deal you take, I think you'll be very happy. While you are waiting for your car, there's a little store where you'll find a few drinks and snacks and car-related trinkets. They also have a pretty decent greeting card selection and now that I think about it, I end up buying more cards here than I do anywhere else! There is no seated waiting area inside or air conditioned. The waiting area outside isn't large so on busy days, you might have to stand. There are three main benches that seat maybe 10-12 people max. The outside area is lackluster at best. Not much to do or look at except for the workers and peoples cars. There's one bench in particular that's a little loud because it's right around the corner from the car wash exit so you get the blast from the air sprayer and fans. The area where they park the cars is all under a cover, but during the summer's 110 degree heat, it's pretty hard to keep the water from evaporating before they can wipe it down. 90% of the staff at this car wash have been working there for 10-20 years or more. I know many of them by name and joke around with them all the time. Very friendly and helpful all the time. They are always careful with your antenna or anything else that might be fragile, so just let them know. An update on Red Carpet ... they recently implemented a AYCW (All You Can Wash) program ...okay I just made up the acronym, but I couldn't resist since I went to an AYCE sushi bar yesterday. But I regress ... Anyway, for one price a month, you can have unlimited car washes on one vehicle. Sometimes less during the winter because "it never rains in California", right? If you decide you want your interior cleaned also, just pay an extra $5 at the time. It's a pretty good deal based on the quality of care you receive. The other program is your entire vehicle inside and out for $49.99 or something like that. I think it's one of their more expensive options that includes tire conditioner and a scent. I think that option runs somewhere around $20? I couldn't tell you for sure, but you can check it out. I still love this place and wouldn't trust any other car wash around to do the cleansing of my ride. By the way, there's also a mall within walking distance, so you can go to the mail and shop while they do your car. Just tell them that's what you're going to do and they will complete your car and park it right next door until you return. That's all folks!

They usually do a pretty good job for the price. Overall I’m happy, the car came out shiny and pretty. They kind of did a sloppy job on the trim so we had to clean it up ourselves when we came home. Tires also looked a bit rushed. It was really busy when we went. And they forgot to give us an air freshener. 😅 We’ve been here before and it was good, I think we just caught them at a bad time.

I’ve been a customer for over a year now and the quality of service has been just getting worse. They broke my charger in the past and I didn’t bother, no attention to details and I was fine with that since they’re very busy on weekends. But the quality I received today is just unacceptable! I’m cancelling my membership and I’ll find another place, don’t waste your time!

If I could give no stars I would. I paid $40 to have my car clean and that's not what I got. I feel like I totally got ripped off. Look like I'm going to have to try the car wash across the street to see if they are any better. The people that clean the cars are only interested in the nicer looking vehicles because they think they will get a better tip. Maybe they should stop fighting over that and stick to cleaning. Total shame.
